Me…Jane

Learn about Dr. Jane Goodall in this showcase of her young life. Watch as young Jane and her toy chimpanzee learn about the world around them and see what influenced her to become the person she is today.

Evaluation Criteria: Design. It is true that students will choose a fiction book over a nonfiction book just because of the way it looks. Author Patrick McDonell really nailed it with the design of his book on the early life of Jane Goodall. It is beautifully illustrated as it tells the story of a young Jane Goodall and her toy chimpanzee, Jubilee. The images will appeal to children of young ages as he tells the story of the ambitious Jane Goodall. The text itself is also easy to follow and visually appealing.
