Rosa

Witness the story of famous civil rights fighter Rosa Parks as she refuses to give up her sear on the bus. Told through well defined text and vivid illustrations, this book will give you a whole new insight on Rosa Parks.

Evaluation Criteria: Style. As I went through this book, I noticed that author Nikki Giovanni gave the book a very unique style. The writing of the book was clear and the vocabulary was appropriate for young students. You can feel the authors passion for Rosa Parks life by seeing how well the book was set up not just with its very vivid illustrations, but the text, and just the overall flow of the book.
