Balloons Over Broadway

Have you ever seen the Macys Thanksgiving Parade and asked yourself, “Who came up with the idea of those giant puppet?” Well, this artistic book showcases the life of Tony Sarg, the very person we can thank for those upside down giant puppet we see at the Macys Thanksgiving Parade.

Evaluation Criteria: Accuracy. Author Melissa Sweet is obviously a big fan of Tony Sarg. So it is obvious that she did her research to correctly write this book. This is clear as we not only read her “Thank Yous” at the end of the book, but also her extensive list of sources and her bibliography.
