Written and Illustrated by Brian Selznick, this historical fiction novel follows the story of Ben and Rose, who are on different quests and are set 50 years apart in the same book!

This book will appeal to the students in my library because not only does it have a captivating story from two different perspectives, one of the stories is told through nothing but pictures, something that is sure to intrigue young minds! I would sell it by noting all these characteristics to the students. The author has other books including The Invention of Hugo Cabret, The Marvels, and The Houdini Box. All three of these books have a similar style and there is a lot of mystery involved in these novels.
